Safety Tips
- Do not leave children at home alone.
- Do not give children under 5 years old foods which can become a choking hazard such as "chennet" or "ackee".
- Supervise children under 5 years old at play especially at the beach, swimming pool or play park.
- Do not let children play with matches, near the stove or hot pots.
- Teach your child to cross the road safely. Teach them to cross at the traffic lights or zebra crossing.
- Do not allow children to play with electricity sockets, cover them up.
- If you have stairs, install a gate at the top of the stairs to prevent children from falling down the stairs.
- Do not allow children to play with plastic bags as they may choke on it or suffocate.
- Keep all medicine in a medicine cabinet located out of the reach of children.
- Store all insecticide, weedkiller, pesticide, cleaning materials and flammable liquids out of the reach of children.
- Do not store poisonous liquids in drinking bottles.
- When traveling by car, always put children in the back seat and make use of seat belts or child's car seat.
